The Funderdome at Highpoint

PROFINISH Fire Protection worked with Hoyts Group to deliver passive fire protection during the construction of The Funderdome.

Highpoint Shopping Centre’s old-school arcade games destination, The Funderdome, required a passive fire protection solution for the uncoated steel members installed during the new fitout. The PROFINISH Fire Protection team applied vermiculite spray to the steel members throughout the expansive project.

CAFCO® 300 by Promat is an economical, high yield, low-density vermiculite that does not require a primer when used on steel. This makes it both efficient and cost-effective. Using direct spray application ensured even coating and full coverage. CAFCO® 300 can provide fire resistance of up to 4 hours to Australian Standards.

The contributions made by the PROFINISH passive fire team have contributed to achieving the necessary fire rating so all keen gamers, and the Hoyts Group, can be confident that their new family-friendly destination is fire safe.
