Intumescent is a paint-like coating with a 0.25 to 5.0 mm dry film thickness (DFT) which is formulated to swell when exposed to extreme temperatures. It produces a carbonaceous char that acts as an insulating layer to protect the substrate. As an intumescent product with low odour and an aesthetically pleasing finish, it is an ideal solution for on-site application.

Certified Applicators

The correct application of intumescent paint is critical to its efficacy in the event of a fire. This intumescent product with low odour has a water-based formulation that may be considered safer for internal environments than solvent-based paints. It is low VOC and offers up to 120 minutes of fire protection. Nullifire, a leading solvent-based intumescent application offers the advantages of speed of installation and durability for external conditions.
